The dentist said we could sedate Ashton, but said because of his age, we could try to see how he did with gas. I talked to Helene about it (she had worked as a dental assistant) and she also said to try the gas. So, that's what we did. It was last Tuesday, Oct. 25. And all in all, Ashton did a great job.
They put the gas on him. The hard part is to get the kids to breath through their nose. But he did a pretty good job. Then they put a stick in his mouth with numbing solution so they could give him a shot. He didn't like the stick. And he didn't like the shot. That was the worst part. The nurse, doctor and myself all holding him down. But the doctor got him numb, and after that he was fine. He watched the movie "Cars", and did well. They filled the one cavity and then made the one tooth smaller so they could put the crown on it. The worst part is that the crown had to be silver. They don't do white crowns for children. But it was all very fast. It took just over an hour. And Ashton was so happy to get his prize for sitting in the seat. He's never complained about the trip. What a good kid.

Wow, he did a great job. I am so impressed.
I don't know if Brinley would sit still that long! She's only been to the Dentist once! That's awesome! Good job, Ashton!
Go Ashton! And, Go Mommy!
