Steve has babysat for us before (usually on a day we want to ski) but like most men, didn't want to commit to babysitting our kids for many days. Steve and Crystal have been talking about switching roles (she currently works as the supervisor of all the telephone operators at BYU) but have been waiting to see how Steve does on the MCAT (medical test to get into Grad school) before making that commitment. I think they finally decided it was worth the money for Steve to do it till he got his MCAT score back in mid-May. If he does well on the MCAT, he will work for the next year, if not, he will study and test again. For now, it is good for us. It's nice for the kids to stay home (and not have to leave for the babysitters). They get to play in a fenced in yard, and with their own toys. I even think it's okay for Steve. Daisy likes the swing in our backyard and has fun with the kids.
Last Saturday day night we had date night. Thanks Karyn for babysitting. We ended up going out with the Jason and Melinda. We had dinner at Shoots - a Chinese restaurant. It was the first time Mike and I had been there. It was yummy. Then we went over to Jason and Melinda's house to play their Nintendo Wii. We were really skeptical. Neither of us are big gamers. But we had such a great time. We bowled and played a game of tennis. And Mike got into it. It's so rare that he enjoys anything. It was good.

Those Wii's look like fun ! Sounds like your still busy.
Too bad we don't live closer, cuz I would babysit for you!
Glad the babysitting worked out, how great for the kids to have their cool uncle around for a month. The Wii looks fun, the only video games I have really enjoyed are the full body ones like the Nintendo mat that you could do Olympics on (do you remember that? Way old school).
We must Wii again soon!
