Last week the city held a clean-up week. They don't come to pick up your yard waste, but you can dump anything you want at the fair grounds. We spent some time last week, cleaning out things (yard and storage room) so that we could make it a worth while trip. We had a borrow a truck from Ryan to be able to haul things (it doesn't work with two cars). Thanks Ryan.
Then, Friday brought some fun. The kids got to see Brynn and Gavin, and Mike took the day off. Friday night I went to Park City with some girls from the ward. We had so much fun. We used Mike's discount at the Marriott and stayed at the Summit Watch. We left Pleasant Grove around 5:30. It was raining, so it was kind of a slow ride to Park City. There were 7 ladies, and we had so much fun.
We checked in, and then went out to dinner. We went to Fiore. It was only okay and expensive for the only so, so food. Not to mention the wait staff wasn't very good. None of us had been there, and it was right there at the hotel. Guess we learned our lesson, convenience does not always equal good.
We next made a quick stop at the Walmart. One of the ladies forgot a swimsuit. We even had fun there.
Next was swimming. The pool at our hotel was closed, so we went over to the Marriott Mountainside. It snowed while we were in the hot tub, it was awesome. Then we came back to the room and just chatted until 3:00 a.m.
Saturday brought more cold weather and more fun. We ate muffins and granola bars in the room. We made a quick stop at Deer Valley to say hi to my parents. And then off to the outlets. We spent about two hours shopping and then went over to the Loco Lizard for some lunch.
At that point, we split; and a few of us went shopping again and the others went home. I even got to shop for about a half an hour with my mom.
Next, we headed home. We went the Salt Lake route so that I could be dropped off in Sandy; Anson was getting baptized. After the baptism we went over to Kari's for some dinner and strawberry pie.
In return for Mike watching the kids over the weekend, I let him go to Spider Man on Saturday night with a few of his family members. All in all, it was a great weekend, filled with family and friends.
I can't wait to do it again.
