First Weekend in March

I'm so far behind!!! So, last weekend was the first weekend in March, and boy was it busy!! Friday, March 2, Mike and I went skiing (Steve, Mike's brother came over and babysat). It was great. It had snowed all week long, and we even had fresh powder that morning. We got a slow start, and had to be done by about 3:15. But it was great. One of the best snow days of the year!!! I'm glad we got a chance to ski. That night we got to have a date night with the Randall's. What a blast. We did dinner and hung out; it was wonderful. We all ate a steak at Carrabba's, it was delicious. That is now my new favorite place to get a steak.

Saturday brought family. Two of Mike's cousin's are expecting babies, and so the kids and I attended a baby shower that morning. I brought them home, and we all took a nap (Emma hadn't slept well the night before, and I was dead). Then, Mike came home little early so we could do dinner with his family at The Mayan. We had a group of 19, and luckily, his family did most of the waiting for us. They got there at about 4:30, and we got there at 5:15 (just in time to be seated). The kids loved it, but it definitely took some time (making kids eat and waiting for the balloon person). Mike's parents stayed with us that night.

Sunday brought a long day too. First, the blessing of Cecily in Sandy. We left at 8:30 (our usual church time) to be there by 9:00. Afterwards, Kari (Mike's sister) was nice enough to allow us to come hang out at her house until it was time to go to Paul's house. So, next we drove out to Tooele to Paul's (Mike's brother) house for the blessing of Abbigail at 1:00. Because Kari and Paul's church was at the same time (but Paul's sacrament was last) and they were so far apart in location, Paul blessed Abby at home. Then, there was a big luncheon at Paul's home. Look how cute the two girls are!!

That night we got home at about 5:15. It was great to be with family, but it was a busy weekend!!!
