Little Christmas Eve

So, this is the second year in a row that we have been home for Christmas.  We are supposed to spend Christmas with the Brown's and since we weren't going to, we decided to go down for the Little Christmas Eve Celebration held on Dec. 23.  Mike had to work on the 23, but I took it off.  Luckily Mike got off early and we got to go to Price a little earlier than planned.

I didn't get any pictures of our Little Christmas Eve spread.  But it was still yummy to eat.  My favorites are crab dip, yummy sandwich fixin's, cranberry ice cubes and sprite, and traditional Norwegian cookies.  We had a great dinner.  The kids played and enjoyed themselves.  The biggest issue was getting them to bed.

On Dec. 24 we had a pretty slow morning.  We made it over to see Paul and Mindy's new place (a cute little house they are renting) and then hurried home to help make Christmas Eve Dinner (we ate at about 2:30).  We were having it early so that us and Kari's family could head home after dinner (Helene and Andrew and Neena and Quinn's families didn't make it, Steve and Crystal's family were staying in Price the whole holiday).

We did get some pictures of Christmas Eve Dinner.  As is family tradition, we got to open our table present's.  It's too bad my kids are such brats.

Emma mad (but was happy after she opened her gift - Polly Pocket)

Ashton mad (wasn't afraid to tell grandma that his present was "lame")

Good thing Elina isn't hard to please!

We went home after dinner to greet my parents.  They stayed with us for Christmas.  It's so fun to spend time with family around the holiday's.

I'm glad to know that my first grader isn't the only one who thinks almost everything is "lame"
