Happy Anniversary

Ten years, can we handle 10 more?

So, yesterday was our 10 year anniversary. It's hard to believe. Sometimes it feels like it was yesterday, and other times it feels like it was forever ago.

We celebrated by going to Park City of course. My parents are kind enough to let us stay in their condo for free (they get for a couple of months with their friends). Thanks mom and dad, we really appreciate it.

Friday night got to be a girls night for me. I kinda had a break down and Mike sent me out. It's a good thing Melinda is a go when you need her type of friend. Thanks Melinda!!! We had a great time touring her new home and seeing the movie hairspray.

Saturday started with Ashton's soccer pictures. I had to prep him for it, because I found out he's not very good with group pictures (preschool group pictures taught me that lesson). But he was fine with it. He smiled really good on his individual picture and then the group did a pretty good job.

After pictures we went to Ashton's soccer game. It was rainy that day, and so the field was a little wet. It sprinkled on and off during the game, but it never really got terrible, so it was fine. Ashton did a good job this game. He chased the ball more often, and was in the mix a lot more. He even scored his first goal!!!! He just scored it for the wrong team (it's a good thing they don't keep score). He was so proud.

After soccer we came home and packed a few things. And then headed north. We dropped the kids off with Kari for the day. Thank you Kari for watching the kids for us, they had a great time!!! Kari took them to the park for a picnic, to the aquarium to see fish, and to McDonald's for dinner. She even drove them up to Helene and Andrew's for us.

Once we dropped the kids off, then we headed to SL to look at cars. We got to test drive a Pilot we had our eye on. Mike noticed it needed new tires, we left hoping to hear about it as soon as the vehicle had been detailed. Finally, we headed to Park City. We were going to go to the outlets, but they were packed with school starting soon, so we went to the grocery store and then to the condo to decide what to do for dinner. I forgot to mention that Mike went into work at 3:30 on Saturday morning. So, Saturday he was pretty tired. But he was a trooper and stayed awake so we could celebrate.

We decided to eat at The Grub Steak. We hadn't been there before. It was good, but not the best. Kinda pricey for the food.

After dinner we did some hot tubbing and some TV watching.

Sunday morning I let Mike sleep in. And then we jumped in the hot tub before we got ready for the day. When you stay at the condo, when they have it for several months, you have to clean before you leave, so we did. After some lunch, we headed down to Helene and Andrew's to get the kids. We got there in time to sit through sacrament meeting with Helene. I didn't think it was fair to have her sit with five children in sacrament meeting by herself (Andrew's in the bishopric). Helene was sweet and made us dinner. On the way home we stopped at a car dealership and checked out a Pilot.

Monday brought work for Mike and I, but also another trip to Bountiful to see the Pilot that we had looked at the day before. They had replaced some things, and we were able to see the inside. They had even come down on the price. So, Monday, we did the initial paperwork to buy the car, yeah!!!

Congrats on the new honda.... We wanted one of those too when they first came out but you couldnt get them used. I am green with envy!

Also congrats on 10 years. We hit our 10 on the 5th of September. I understand how you feel about it feeling like it was yesterday and then feeling like it has been forever.
