Sand Hollow with Friends

We were able to meet up with Karyn and Richard and their family when they came on a family vacation to southern Utah.  I was so excited.  I definitely do not to spend enough time with Karyn.  I miss her tons.

Both families ran a little later that we had planned, but it worked out just fine.

We rented two, two-man kayaks and one blow-up paddle board (based on a recommendation from a neighbor).  The blow-up paddle board was surprisingly fun.  The kids really liked it and it was easy to manage.  We will definitely do that again.

Once the paddle board had enough air it it, it was easy to manage, Mike was a pro

This was the first time we took Ethan out on the kayak, and he loved it

The kids had a blast playing with each other.  It was great to see them jump right back into their friendships.  Emma and Lily did great until the end (but nothing major).  Ashton and Micah had a great time, Elina played with Clara, and Jesse played in the sand alone, but he seemed very content.

 Elina was lovin' the water

 Ashton lovin' the sand

 Emma had lots of fun

Elina loved having a friend, Clara and Elina were so cute together

It was a hot day, so I was glad we had the canopy. We had lunch at the lake, each family was in charge of their own food, but we were all willing to share.  It was so fun to get to spend some time with baby Issac.  He is darling!

Becky (Karyn's mom), Jesse, Micah, Issac, and Karyn eating lunch under the canopy

Karyn and Issac (aren't they so cute)

Richard was nice and hauled in the girls and the paddle board

I love this shot of Karyn, Jesse and Richard

Ethan loved the kayak, even when it was docked

We love having a day at the lake.  It is so much fun!
