Mike and I got up first thing and did a 4 mile run in Orem. Neither of us did as well as we wanted, but it wasn't bad. I finished in about 37 minutes. And Mike finished in about 44 minutes. Mike had a terrible cold and just wasn't feeling well. Neither of us had trained well for it, but it was nice to get out and run.
Then it was time to head home and prep dinner. My parents were great and were a huge help!! Thanks mom and dad. Mike had to go into work that day for a few hours, so I was glad that my parents were there to help!!
It was a pretty small group for dinner, but it was still nice.
On Friday we drove up Fairview canyon to cut down a tree with Helene and Andrew. It was a short trip, but the kids sure enjoyed being with their cousins.
Yes, that was our tree that Andrew is throwing in his truck, it was about 14 feet tall.
That night we went bowling and to dinner with my family. It was the first time that my kids had gone bowling. They loved it and had a great time. Thanks mom and dad for taking us!!! We'll have to make that a Thanksgiving tradition.
Ashton did a great job. He even broke 100 the first game (something I failed to do).
Emma did a great job too. She beat grandma on the first game (grandma squeaked out a win on the second game by 5 pins). Below, it's Emma at 63, Ashton at 107, Grandad at 159, and Grandma at 68 - game 2.
Really we had a great time and a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. We hope you did too!
