Happy Halloween - Sewing Machine

Okay, so I'm totally crazy and decided to make the kids costumes. Ashton's was okay because he wanted to be a spider. All I did was unpick the seam of a black sweatshirt and stitch some arms (made from black material and stuffed with batting) on. That I can do. Emma's was a different story. Helene had mentioned that Neena made a super cute Tinker Bell outfit. I was in St. George the week before Halloween and stopped in Cedar City to borrow the outfit. It was too small. So, I decided to make one using Neena's as a guide. Neena is definitely a better seamstress than me, but if you didn't look too close, it was okay.

My biggest mistake was to not start Emma's costume until the night before Halloween. I just really didn't have any time. I was pretty stressed Halloween, but in the end it turned out good.

Ashton got to dress up for Preschool. There was some pretty cute costumes. Miss Kerri was Jessie from Toy Story 2 - so cute and her son in Ashton's class was Buzz. There were princesses, and pirate's. It was cute.

After naps we went to a Halloween Party at the Provo Marriott. Each department ran a booth. The kids had a great time. Emma was willing to do face painting, but Ashton wasn't. Ashton was just so happy to run around and check everything out.

Straight from the party to the ward trunk or treat, the kids got to go trick or treating. It was cold. Mike froze handing out candy at the car while we kept warm visiting cars and waiting in line for fresh popcorn.

Once done trick or trunking, we went home and carved a pumpkin that we got at the Marriott party. Then over to the Becht's to participate in a party. The kids got to paint pumpkins, play a game and go fishin.

All in all, it was a great but long day.

Happy Halloween!!!
