Friday after work we all headed to Park City. It was a cold weekend, but even colder in Park City. Mom and dad were in SL having dinner with some friends. Ryan and Julie were in Park City for Ryan's Manager's Retreat. So, as we came into town (at about 8:45) Ryan and Julie followed us up to the condo to hang out for a little bit. Mom and dad weren't far behind us. The kids got to bed late. The disappointing news was that the pack-n-play that had been up there three weeks before was no where to be found. What a pain to put Emma to bed without her being enclosed. Mike actually went and laid down with the kids (Emma right next to him) to get them to go to bed.
On Saturday morning we woke up to four inches of snow. I told you it was cold. Mom and I ran to the store in the morning to grab a few things like a cake for Emma and Cassidy's birthday and some small gifts for Emma.We went to lunch at the Wasatch Brew Pub on Main Street. Mike said the fish and chips were fabulous. I will order those the next time!!! Then we walked main street for just a minute and then took the kids back to the condo to take a nap. We had a long night in store.
At 5:00 we got ready and left for Bountiful. We had planned a get together with some Price friends several weeks ago and we weren't going to miss it. We had a BBQ, well we ate BBQ'd hamburgers, but hung out in the house the rest of the night due to the weather. It was great to get together. And Bill and Becca are always so nice to share their house with all of us.We got back to the condo around 10:00, and drove through some light snow to get there.
Sunday was the day we really celebrated Emma's birthday. I wrapped her presents that morning, and once the kids woke up from their naps (we learned a great card game from Cass and Nate while the kids napped called Cover Up), we ate dinner, and then opened presents and had cake. Cassidy's birthday is five days after Emma's so we celebrated them together. Emma's is the 14th and Cassidy's is the 19th. The nice thing about Emma being so young is that she doesn't care if she shares her cake. And we can give her presents several days late, and she's just as happy.
Happy Birthday Emma and Cass!!
