So, near the end of Septemeber we made a trip up to Solitude Resort. We were hoping to get up there early enough to buy our pre-season ski passes, but that didn't happen. So, we took our lift ride anyway. We were so looking forward to seeing all the pretty leaves, but it was crazy! The leaves at the bottom of the canyon had changed and were full of collor (yellow, red, orange), but up higher, the colors hadn't really changed yet. They were mostly yellow. Oh well, it was still a nice day.
Elina cried most of the ride up the lift. So, when we got to the top, we got off so that I could spend time doing this:
While Mike took the kids to do this:
Once I was done, we got a family photo and headed back down.
While we were up that direction, we stopped and ate at the Porcupine Grill. It was delicious. We always talk about stopping and eating there after a day of skiing, but never do because of time and money.
We had a beautiful afternoon as a family.
