Things We've Done

Last Friday night the kids and I got to meet up with some of Mike's family. Anson did a violin recital. First we met up for dinner, then we went back to Kari's house for the recital and dessert. Anson did a great job!!!

First Hunter (Ashton's age) played two songs on the violin. Then Cam did a piece on the Trumpet, then it was Anson's turn. He did a duet with his teacher and then probably 7 other songs. I was amazed at how many pieces he had memorized. Emma loved it. She stayed and listened almost the whole time.









Mike worked the weekend, so not much got done on the laundry room. I did work out a pattern for the problem spot by the door, and we got it laid. Do you like?

On Monday, Mike started working in the laundry room again. His parents stopped by to offer some help. He got most of the door moldings on, some of the base boards, and the door hung. Mike was disappointed because it wasn't moving along as fast as he thought it would.

On Tuesday he picked up where he left off, and also planned to do a few little things. But he had a rough day, even the little things didn't work out. Installing fixtures, light plate switches, etc. didn't go well. Needless to say, he is a little frustrated.

We spent Tuesday night at the Banff Film Festival. We got to go to dinner with Paul and Mindy, Mindy's brother and a friend, and one of Paul's friends from Price and his wife. We got to see about 6 films. I really enjoyed it. One or two were only okay, but the rest were excellent. There was an awesome base jumping film, and a cool climbing film (free climbing). It was a great night out!
