I just have to say that Ashton is such a pleasure. I sometimes feel bad because it is usually so much easier for me to be kind to Ashton because he is usually so kind to me. He is also a very cuddly and loving child.
Last night Mike and I were talking about Ashton and just laughing at some of the things he said and how he is growing up and changing.
When Mike's parents brought the kids up after my conference, their cell phone died and they didn't know our phone number. Phil was smart enough to know that the kids might know it. Both of them blurted it out and Phil and Janet were able to call me. What smart kids.
Mike's parents told us that while Ashton was visiting he threaten to call the cops on grandma. I guess he wanted MM's before dinner and grandma told him "No". He told her that if she didn't let him have them that he would call the cops. Later grandpa asked him what the cops phone number was, he told him "9 - 11".
The kids think it is so funny to make up silly names to call people. Or to call people names from TV shows or movies. So at dinner the other night, Ashton told Mike that he was Chicken Little. Then Ashton changed his mind and said "um, your not Chicken Little, you're Chicken Little's dad, a fat chicken".
While Mike and I were talking we talked about how Ashton's taste in toys has changed from last year to this year. He used to love trains and Thomas the Train. Almost every time Ashton had show and tell last year for preschool he took a train. This year, Ashton is way into robots and Star Wars. He uses Lego's to make Star Wars ships and he is convinced that they look exactly like the ships in Star Wars. He also draws robots when he is allowed to just draw. It will be interesting to see how this boy turns out.

It is so hard to stay caught up with your kids isn't it? They change so fast.
That's great they both know their phone number! So smart!
Kids change so much...you just have to enjoy it while it lasts!
